Approval Process for Strategic Technology Projects Accelerated
Approval processes for 28 strategic technology projects proposed by various ministries are expected to be completed, with the projects slated to be implemented by the end of the year.
While 28 strategic technology tasks with a total estimated capital of 5,300 billion VND have been proposed by ten ministries and agencies, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung has requested that approval processes be accelerated so that the projects can be implemented by the end of 2026.
Project Proposals and Evaluation Process
28 strategic technology tasks with an estimated budget of approximately 5,300 billion VND have been proposed by 10 ministries and agencies. Necessary evaluation work has been carried out on 27 of these dossiers.
Legal Framework and Ministerial Reports
By August 2026, the legal framework for the implementation of strategic technology development tasks has been fundamentally established. Minister of Science and Technology Vu Hai Quan stated that the progress of key tasks is proceeding smoothly.
Approved and Reviewed Projects
9 tasks completed by the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Construction, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the Ministry of Science and Technology have finished review and been found eligible for approval. Meanwhile, 13 projects have received feedback from the Evaluation Council.
Proposals from Local Authorities
85 proposals regarding strategic technology solutions and tasks have been received from local authorities, focusing on areas such as UAVs, artificial intelligence, digital twinning, blockchain, and biotechnology.
Year-End Targets and Instructions
Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung has requested the relevant ministries and agencies to carry out the assigned tasks with greater determination and strive to achieve several strategic technology products by the end of 2026.
