California Governor Gavin Newsom has named four expert figures to advise the state as part of steps to be taken for the safe use of artificial intelligence technologies.

Artificial Intelligence Oversight Group

California Governor Gavin Newsom announced that he has appointed four experts named Rob Reich, Jason Goldman, Gillian Hadfield, and Alondra Nelson to guide the state in the field of artificial intelligence.

Goals Until Next Spring

These appointed experts will assist the government operations agency and the office of emergency services in preparing recommendations for kill switches for artificial intelligence systems.

Background of the Expert Staff

Among the appointed figures are Stanford University professor Rob Reich, former tech executive Jason Goldman, professor Gillian Hadfield, and institute director Alondra Nelson.
