On the second day of his official contacts in the United States, Health Minister Kemal Memişoğlu visited leading centers in the field of health technologies.
Starting his program at the Stanford Medicine Laboratory within Stanford University School of Medicine's Stanford Health Care, Memişoğlu received information about advanced medical research.
Visit to Biotechnology Laboratories
Moving on to the MBC Laboratory, which operates as a biotechnology incubation center, Minister Memişoğlu examined studies aimed at the treatment of critical diseases.
He observed first-hand laboratory research conducted for the treatment of major disorders such as cancer, Alzheimer's, and Parkinson's.
Genentech and Manufacturing Facilities
In the final part of his visit, Minister Memişoğlu went to the Genentech Laboratory, one of the pioneers of the biotechnology industry, to evaluate current research and applications.
He also toured the manufacturing facility of the Da Vinci Robotic Surgery System, developed by Intuitive Surgical, which enables high-precision surgical operations.
