Interest Directed Toward STEM Fields
A notable shift occurred in the structure of academic fields in this year's university admissions. Approximately 212,600 candidates confirmed their enrollment in STEM fields, accounting for 33.6% of the total.
Strategic Technology and Basic Sciences
Over 121,000 people enrolled in 15 basic science, engineering, and strategic technology fields under Decree No. 179. This rate corresponds to approximately 19.1% of the total.
New Goals of Universities
The National Economics University plans to enroll 620 more students into STEM programs in 2026. With this addition, the total number of students in these programs will reach approximately 1,800 across all cohorts.
Statement on the Admission Process from the Ministry
Mr. Nguyen Tien Thao, Director of the Higher Education Department at the Ministry of Education and Training, stated that this year's admission process was prepared with an early and clear plan.
