HÜRJET's first mass-produced aircraft meets the sky on the anniversary of the Great Victory
Developed nationally by TUSAŞ, Turkey's first jet trainer aircraft HÜRJET has successfully flown with its first version to be delivered to the Air Force Command.
Developed by TUSAŞ under the coordination of the Presidency of Defence Industries, the first HÜRJET aircraft to be delivered to the Air Force Command successfully performed its maiden flight on the 104th anniversary of the Great Victory, staying in the air for 18 minutes.
Development Process of the HÜRJET Project
The HÜRJET program, implemented nationally by Turkish Aerospace Industries under the coordination of the Presidency of Defence Industries, started in 2017. The project passed a critical threshold with its first flight on April 25, 2023.
Supersonic Capabilities and Tests
Reaching supersonic speeds within the scope of test activities carried out with two prototypes, HÜRJET proved its supersonic flight capability and attracted great attention in the field of aviation.
First Delivery for the Air Force
Within the framework of mass production activities, final assembly line operations of the first HÜRJET to be delivered to the Air Force Command were completed, followed by successful ground and taxi tests.
Successful Maiden Flight Experience
Accompanied by the first prototype during the flight, HÜRJET successfully completed its maiden flight safely and smoothly by staying in the sky for 18 minutes.
First Stage Production Targets
In the national jet trainer aircraft project, a total of 6 HÜRJETs are planned to be produced in the first stage, and efforts in this direction continue decisively.
