Intensive Diplomacy in Artificial Intelligence from Turkey and the Istanbul Objective

Turkey is stepping up shuttle diplomacy internationally to assume an active role in determining global standards in the field of artificial intelligence, increase exports, and strengthen regional leadership.

Active Role in Global Platforms

Turkey will actively contribute to the artificial intelligence agenda in platforms such as the UN, G20, ISO/IEC, ITU, and UNESCO, most notably the OECD AI Principles and the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence.

International Cooperation Targets

Within the framework of the plan coordinated by the Ministry of Industry and Technology, it is aimed to sign bilateral cooperation framework agreements with at least 5 countries by the end of 2027.

Additionally, it is planned to sign memorandums of understanding with at least 3 international institutions and initiate conformity cooperation for exports in target markets.

Turkic Languages Large Language Model

By launching a pilot study with at least 2 OTS member countries, a joint Turkic Languages Large Language Model covering the Oghuz, Kipchak, and Karluk language families will be developed.

It is planned that the first version of this model will be put into production by the end of 2027.

Investment Diplomacy and Istanbul

Istanbul will be strategically positioned as Turkey's international artificial intelligence showcase and investment diplomacy city.
