Ministry of Science and Technology Determined Strategic Technology Tasks for 2026-2030
During the meeting held in Ha Long, complete consensus was reached on six strategic technology development proposals presented by research units.
The Ministry of Science and Technology held a comprehensive meeting in Ha Long to evaluate the strategic technology development tasks for the 2026-2030 period.
Location and Chairmanship of the Meeting
The critical meeting held in the Ha Long region was chaired by Comrade Nguyen Manh Cuong, Party Committee Secretary and Director of the Department of Science and Technology.
The strategic vision of the new period was discussed at the session held with the participation of three stakeholders.
Six Prominent Key Proposals
Research units presented six main proposals taking into account the region's advantages and potential to contribute to economic development.
All of these submitted projects were unanimously approved as a result of the participants' evaluation.
Environmental and Digital Infrastructure Projects
It is planned to create monitoring systems and a digital Earth replica that will serve resource management, disaster prevention, and socio-economic development.
Furthermore, the establishment of an intelligent water area platform is among the targeted strategic steps.
Industry and Value Chain Studies
The development of the Quang Ninh marine oyster industrial chain was presented by representatives of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology.
In addition, it was decided to conduct comprehensive research on the value chain of the medicinal plant Panax notoginseng.
Automation and Advanced Material Solutions
Smart robots and automated monitoring systems to be used in aquaculture were included in the project.
It is aimed to convert waste into advanced building materials in order to develop sponge cities.
