Pinterest Announces New AI-Powered Restyle Feature
The Restyle feature, which allows users to redesign their own rooms using artificial intelligence, is rolling out in beta in the U.S. and Canada.
Pinterest is launching a new AI-powered feature called Restyle in beta, enabling users to visualize room designs and decor ideas within their own spaces.
AI-Powered Restyle Feature
Pinterest has announced a new tool designed to help users transition from seeking inspiration to creating realistic room designs. Named Restyle, this feature allows users to take a photo of their own space and test out different decoration ideas.
Infrastructure and Nvidia Partnership
Powered by Pinterest Intelligence infrastructure, the system combines Nvidia Blackwell GPUs, Nvidia Dynamo, open-source models, and the company's proprietary technologies. This partnership enhances visual search capabilities and shopping discoveries.
Extensive Editing and Modification Options
Users can give prompts to the artificial intelligence to add wall art, furniture, and accessories, or to change the lighting and paint color. It is also possible to remove items in the room with a single click or adapt them to completely different styles.
Future Plans and Rollout Schedule
Initially rolled out as an early preview in the U.S. and Canada, the Restyle feature is planned for a wider release to a broader audience next month. The feature is among the innovations announced at the Pinterest Presents event.
