During the annual Snapdragon Summit, Qualcomm announced two new flagship smartphone processors focusing on advanced artificial intelligence features: the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6.

The new processors are designed to help provide better personalization for AI agents, meeting users with significant innovations in this direction.
Advanced Sensing Hub
The chips feature new sensing hubs capable of running small models up to 200 million parameters, thereby enabling smartphones to run a personal assistant locally.
Efficient Model Execution
While the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 includes a new accelerator element designed to run models more efficiently, the high-end Extreme version can locally run a mixed-expert model with 30 billion parameters.
Camera and Imaging Technologies
The Qualcomm processor provides pixel-level control for cameras to deliver more professional-level experiences, while also offering advanced stabilization and motion detection features.
Video Recording Capabilities
The Extreme version supports 8K 60fps and 4K240 video recording for ultra-HD slow motion, enabling the new Advanced Professional Video codec for professional-grade recording.
Motorola Partnership
During the event, Motorola announced the Motorola Signature 27 smartphone powered by the Snapdragon Gen 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6, with general sales expected to begin later this year.
