A comprehensive project has been implemented in Osmaniye's Kadirli district to bring children studying in village schools together with science, technology, and ecology.

Aim and Scope of the Project

An important project bringing students in village schools together with science and technology has been implemented in Osmaniye's Kadirli district. Supported within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 4009 Program, the project allowed students to gain new experiences in many areas ranging from hands-on science activities to ecology and sustainable living.

First Implementation in Aşağı Çiyanlı

Prepared under the coordination of Kadirli BİLSEM, the "Science, Ecology, and Sustainable Living Mobilization from Village Schools to the Future from Nature" project was carried out for the first time in the district at Aşağı Çiyanlı Martyr Ahmet Birkaç Primary and Secondary School.

Scientific Activities and Workshops

Within the scope of the activities, students participated in practical studies prepared in the fields of science, technology, and education. Children had the opportunity to develop their scientific thinking, problem-solving, and observation skills in workshops.

Visit by the District Director of National Education

Kadirli District Director of National Education Erdal Şekeroğlu visited the science stands and workshops set up within the scope of the program one by one. Sharing the excitement of the students, Şekeroğlu examined the ongoing works on-site and received information from the instructors and project team.

Project Coordinators and Duration

Led by Project Coordinator Nurcan Büyükbayram and Project Specialist Prof. Dr. Mustafa Sevindik, the program is stated to continue for three days. Through activities to be carried out throughout the program, it is aimed to develop students' scientific thinking and research skills.
