SAHA Istanbul Secretary General Muttalip Tütüncü stated that the Turkish defense industry has grown under its own market conditions until today. Tütüncü noted that in order to prevent this growth from regressing and to take it further, taking a share of the global market is no longer a choice but a necessity.

The Role of SMEs and International Objectives

Stating that more than 80 percent of the members of SAHA Istanbul, Europe's largest defense and aerospace cluster with over 1,400 members, consist of SMEs, it was expressed that their primary mission is to ensure SMEs integrate into international supply chains.

Strategic Cooperation Negotiations with Canada

It was stated that despite past embargoes, countries are now queuing up at Turkey's door today thanks to the capabilities it has developed. It was announced that strategic cooperation negotiations in the defense industry are being conducted, particularly with Canada.

Cost-Effective Solutions and the Battlefield

It was conveyed that in line with changing warfare paradigms, high-technology, cost-effective, and rapidly consumable products have gained importance. It was noted that SMEs need to move beyond their subcontractor identity and turn toward the cost-effective solutions expected by the international market.

International Astronautical Congress in Antalya

It was reminded that Antalya will host the 77th International Astronautical Congress of the International Astronautical Federation from October 5-9. It was reported that the event will be organized under the coordination of the Ministry of Industry and Technology.
