Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung chaired the meeting of the Working Group on Science, Technology, Innovation, and Strategic Technology Development at the Government Headquarters to discuss the progress in implementing strategic technology development tasks.
Legal Framework and Budget Details
According to the report presented by the Ministry of Science and Technology, as of August 2026, the legal framework and organizational conditions for strategic technology development tasks have been fundamentally established, and the total budget has been set at approximately 5,300.6 billion VND.
Acceleration of Approval Processes
While eight out of ten ministries and agencies had proposed 28 tasks to be implemented in accordance with the process, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung asked the ministries and agencies to accelerate the approval processes, increasing the number of eligible tasks to 21.
