Financial Institutions Union Announced Consolidated Data for the Second Quarter of 2026

While the total asset size of the sectors affiliated with the FIU reached 2 trillion 183 billion TL, the number of customers in the savings financing sector exceeded 1.5 million.

The Financial Institutions Union shared the consolidated data for the second quarter of 2026 with the public. According to the disclosed data, while the total asset size of the sectors within the FIU increased by 68 percent to reach 2 trillion 183 billion TL, the savings financing sector increased its customer count to over 1.5 million.

FIU General Consolidated Data

The total asset size of all sectors operating within the Financial Institutions Union increased by 68 percent in the second quarter of 2026 compared to the same period of the previous year, reaching the level of 2 trillion 183 billion TL.

In the same period, the total receivables size increased by 71 percent to 1 trillion 582 billion TL, and the equity size rose by 76 percent to 449 billion TL.

Savings Financing Sector

The savings financing sector stood out as one of the areas where scale growth was experienced most strongly within the FIU in the second quarter of the year, carrying its asset size to 501 billion TL by increasing it by 188 percent.

The customer count of the sector reached 1 million 549 thousand with an increase of more than double compared to the same period of the previous year, and the total number of branches was realized as 891.

Factoring Sector Data

The transaction volume of the factoring sector in the first six months increased by 43 percent compared to the same period of the previous year, exceeding the threshold of 1 trillion 131 billion TL.

As of the end of June, the sector continued its activities with 49 companies, 449 branches, and 4 thousand 941 employees.

Financial Leasing and Financing

While the transaction volume of the financial leasing sector in the first six months increased by 78 percent to 216 billion TL, its asset size reached the level of 648 billion TL.

The financing sector, on the other hand, reached a size of 371 billion TL with a 46 percent increase in asset size and provided services to nearly 1 million 287 thousand customers.

Asset Management and Evaluation

The asset size of the asset management sector increased by 58 percent as of the end of June compared to the same period of the previous year, rising to 66 billion TL, and the size of acquired receivables exceeded 45 billion TL.

Financial Institutions Union President Ali Emre Ballı stated that the development of non-bank finance increases Turkey's financing capacity and resilience.
