TEKNOFEST 2026 Finals Open Their Doors in Diyarbakır

The TEKNOFEST 2026 finals, which kicked off in Diyarbakır, have brought together thousands of contestants and their projects from thirteen different countries.

While hundreds of thousands of teams applied for the finals to be held in Diyarbakır within the scope of TEKNOFEST 2026, finalists from 13 different countries have begun a fierce competition with their technology projects.

Great Interest and Application Numbers for Competitions

A total of 571,586 teams and 1,326,322 team members applied to participate in the finals held in Diyarbakır. Following the evaluation processes, 677 teams and 2,925 contestants earned the right to become finalists.

Contestants from Turkey as well as the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus, Kosovo, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Azerbaijan, Italy, the United Kingdom, Georgia, the United States of America, Greece, and Indonesia gathered in Diyarbakır.

First Finals Held at Dicle University

The first destination of the TEKNOFEST excitement in Diyarbakır was Dicle University. The finals of three different competitions are being held within the university between September 16-18.

These include the Technologies for Humanity Competition Middle School Level, coordinated by SANKO, and the High School Level, coordinated by AFAD, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, and IGA. Additionally, the Artificial Intelligence in Health Competition is being held under the coordination of the Ministry of Health and TÜSEB.

Competitions at the Mesopotamia Fairground

The second venue of the events will be the Mesopotamia International Fair and Congress Center on September 18-20. Finals in eight different categories will take place here.

This center hosts the Robotic Applications in Industry, Jet Engine Design, Technologies for Humanity Primary School Level, Biotechnology Innovation, Artificial Intelligence in Aviation, Chip Design, Electronic Warfare, and TEKNOFEST Professional Competence competitions.

General Participation and Support Details

Across the TEKNOFEST 2026 technology competitions in general, participation was achieved from all 81 provinces of Turkey and 97 different countries across 62 main categories and 145 sub-categories. Total applications for the organization exceeded 730,000.

While over 100 million TL in financial support is provided to contestants, a total of more than 75 million TL in awards is being distributed. TEKNOFEST Southeast events will continue at the Şanlıurfa GAP Airport between September 30 and October 4.
