Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University participated in the TEKNOFEST 2026 events held in Şanlıurfa with 157 teams and 640 students. Four teams advanced to the finals with their projects in health, artificial intelligence, defense, and unmanned systems.

Record Participation at the Festival in Şanlıurfa

Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University participated with a large delegation in TEKNOFEST 2026, one of Turkey's most important organizations in the field of technology and innovation.

During the events held in Şanlıurfa between September 30 and October 4, the university rector and 180 students also conducted on-site inspections.

Original Projects Advancing to the Finals

Representing the university, the kAIzen, TUĞRA, Baz-ı Eşheb, and ÜLGEN teams succeeded in writing their names into the finals with their successful projects in various fields.

Projects developed in many areas ranging from health technologies to unmanned ground vehicles won the appreciation of the jury.

Health and Autonomous Systems Studies

The kAIzen team developed the ClinicalAI+++ project, which evaluates disease risks by analyzing genetic data using artificial intelligence.

Meanwhile, the TUĞRA team drew attention in the competition with its unmanned ground vehicle featuring autonomous driving and LiDAR-supported positioning capabilities.

Defense and Swarm Technologies

The Baz-ı Eşheb team took part in the final stage with an electronic warfare system that analyzes electromagnetic signals.

The ÜLGEN team also designed autonomous swarm unmanned aerial vehicles capable of communicating without the need for a central command.

High-Level Contacts and Cooperation

Rector Prof. Dr. Fatih Yılmaz held meetings with ministers, the president of YÖK, and defense industry representatives in the festival area.

During these contacts, potential cooperation opportunities in academic and technological fields were evaluated in detail.
