Turkey's Goal of Producing Science and Technology in Healthcare Announced

Health Minister Memişoğlu called on young people not to focus solely on healthcare delivery, but to produce new health-related technologies in the world.

Science and Technology-Oriented Vision

Health Minister Memişoğlu called on young people to focus not only on healthcare delivery, but also on producing new knowledge and technologies. Stating that Turkey has a deep-rooted history in the field of healthcare, Memişoğlu said that this accumulation must be carried into the future through scientific studies.

TÜSEB and Domestic Production Efforts

Minister Memişoğlu stated that the From Idea to Product portal, operated through the Presidency of the Health Institutes of Turkey, provides opportunities for young people with innovative ideas. He touched upon projects in areas requiring advanced technology, such as CAR-T therapies, cancer research, drugs, vaccines, and heart-lung pumps.

Healthy Living and Combating Violence

During the question-and-answer session of the program, topics such as healthy living habits, the harms of tobacco use, and violence against healthcare workers were addressed. Emphasizing the importance of a balanced diet and an active lifestyle, Minister Memişoğlu recommended not smoking.

New Legislation and Communication Efforts

Stating that violence against healthcare workers is unacceptable, Memişoğlu announced that they are working on a new legislation to strengthen communication between workers and citizens. With the Regulation on Rights and Communication in Healthcare, it is aimed to increase service quality.
