Usage rates of generative artificial intelligence, which processes data such as text, image, and audio, have increased across Turkey. According to research, the artificial intelligence usage rate of the elderly population aged 65-74 tripled in one year, reaching 5.1 percent.

Increase in General Usage Rates

While the proportion of individuals stating that they use generative artificial intelligence, which enables the creation of original content through computer systems, was 19.2 percent last year in Turkey, it rose to 37.6 percent this year.

Threefold Increase in the Elderly Population

When artificial intelligence usage rates were examined by age groups, it was determined that there was a major increase in the rate at which elderly individuals adopted this technology.

In the 65 to 74 age group, artificial intelligence usage increased from 1.7 percent last year to 5.1 percent this year, tripling entirely.

Distribution Among the Elderly by Gender

Among elderly male individuals, the artificial intelligence usage rate rose from 2 percent to 5.3 percent.

During the same period, the usage rate among elderly women increased from 1.2 percent to 4.9 percent, showing a fourfold increase.

Integration of Artificial Intelligence by Youth

The obtained figures clearly demonstrated that the young population is also intensively integrating artificial intelligence into their daily lives.

While the usage rate of individuals aged 16 to 24 was 39.4 percent last year, it reached 64.9 percent this year.

Developments in Other Age Groups

Although usage rates decrease in more advanced age groups, a distinct increase was recorded across all categories.

The rate was 55.7 percent between the ages of 25 and 34, while it was recorded as 38.1 percent between 35 and 44.

Usage occurred at a rate of 20.6 percent in the 45 to 54 age group and 10.6 percent in the 55 to 64 age range.
