VKIST Develops Proactive Solutions to Strategic Technological Challenges
Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Tran Trung Tinh visited the Vietnam-Korea Institute of Science and Technology to evaluate strategic priorities and business collaborations.
During a meeting with the Vietnam-Korea Institute of Science and Technology, Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Tran Trung Tinh stated that the institute must produce proactive solutions in critical technology areas and strengthen its research groups.
Strategic Technology Areas
Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Tran Trung Tinh expressed that it is essential to direct resources toward technological areas where the country holds a competitive advantage.
Future Vision and Priorities
Deputy Minister Tran Trung Tinh requested that the institute clarify its vision for 2035 and orientation for 2040, suggesting a focus on areas such as semiconductors, secondary batteries, and artificial intelligence.
Projects and Activities
VKIST Director Associate Professor Dr. Vu Duc Loi shared that the institute successfully implemented a total of 38 science and technology projects during the first nine months of 2026.
International Support
It was reported that within the scope of the efforts, various technology transfer contracts were signed and a non-refundable aid commitment of 30 million dollars was secured for the Korea Phase 2 project.
