American homeland security officials announced that British citizen Milo Yiannopoulos was returned to his home country on Friday. It was reported that Yiannopoulos was detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement units on Thursday at the Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport in Louisiana.
Grounds for the Deportation Decision
Authorities stated that Yiannopoulos entered the country legally in May 2019 but remained by violating his visa duration. Following his failure to attend an immigration hearing, an immigration judge signed a final deportation order on July 22.

Yiannopoulos became known in the early 2010s for his articles on the conservative website Breitbart News. Known for his controversial statements regarding feminism, Islam, and immigrants, the figure had recently been working for the rapper Ye.

A spokesperson for the Department of Homeland Security emphasized that Yiannopoulos had extended his stay in violation of the country's laws. Ministry officials stated in social media posts that they encourage individuals in similar situations to leave the country voluntarily.
