Bishops, pastoral workers, mental health experts, and individuals who have experienced mental health conditions are coming together for a global event held in Rome on October 9-10.
Purpose and Timing of the Event
This important gathering coincides with World Mental Health Day and Pope Leo XIV's October prayer intention.
Organizing Organizations
The meeting is organized by the International Catholic Mental Health Ministers Association in cooperation with the Don Luigi Di Liegro International Foundation and the Pope's Worldwide Prayer Network.
First Day of the Program
The program, opening on Friday at the Complesso del Gesù, will address topics such as stigma, acceptance, safe spaces, and the integration of caregivers.
Second Day and Closing
On Saturday, following a foundation visit, the situation of youth, testimonies, and a press conference, the event will conclude with a prayer at the Lourdes Grotto in the Vatican Gardens.
