Donald Trump's Gaza Plan Fails to Reach Its Goals After One Year
U.S. President Trump's Gaza plan, announced a year ago, is deadlocked. Although a ceasefire and prisoner exchange were secured, attacks and the humanitarian crisis continue.
A plan presented one year ago by U.S. President Donald Trump to end the war in Gaza has stalled due to nearly daily Israeli attacks and its control over two-thirds of the territory.
Ceasefire and Prisoner Exchange Process
As a result of the first phase of the plan, a ceasefire was declared on October 10, 2025. This agreement ensured the release of the remaining hostages captured during Hamas's 2023 attacks.
Continuation of Attacks and the Blockade
Although full-scale military operations have not resumed, attacks by the Israeli military continue. According to data from the Gaza health ministry, at least 1,400 Palestinians have lost their lives following the October ceasefire.
Regional Control and Humanitarian Crisis
Israel currently controls approximately two-thirds of Gaza's territory. While aid organizations emphasize that the flow of humanitarian aid entering the region is insufficient, IPC reports indicate that more than 1.2 million people are facing acute hunger.
Political Obstacles Faced by the Plan
Goals such as the disarmament of Hamas, the establishment of an International Stabilization Force led by U.S. Major General Jasper Jeffers, and the reconstruction of Gaza have largely stalled due to political disagreements and suspicions.
