Iran has quietly resumed activities at a nuclear facility struck by Israel during the conflicts in March. Satellite imagery has revealed unusual vehicular traffic and new construction work at the site.

New Satellite Imagery and Findings

High-resolution images published by the Institute for Science and International Security revealed an unusually high density of vehicle traffic and excavation work at the Minzadayi compound, northeast of Tehran.

The Washington-based organization emphasized in a statement that this indicates Iran is not only cleaning up the site but also striving to resume normal operations.

Nuclear Weapons Development Activities

According to statements by the Israel Defense Forces and reports reflected in the public domain, the Minzadayi compound is believed to be linked to the research and development of nuclear warheads.

While intense vehicle presence was detected at the facility between early September and early October, the institute noted that this activity could be an indicator of efforts to re-establish nuclear weapons development capabilities.

Repairs Carried Out at the Facility

Satellite imagery also clearly showed that repairs were carried out on a possible water tank at the facility and a small building was added near the compound.

This heavily fortified facility had been targeted and hit by Israeli jets early in the war in March.

Weapons Arsenal and Russian Support

It was reported that the Islamic Republic has been rebuilding its damaged weapons arsenal over the past few months and has preserved its missile stockpiles despite US and Israeli attacks.

According to reports based on Western intelligence assessments, while Tehran maintained its weapons production capability, Russia also supplied missiles to Iran.
