WCC Publications introduced its new book addressing the future of Christian unity at the EEF Commission meeting.
World Council of Churches Publications presented its new book focusing on the quest for Christian unity and the future of ecumenical dialogue at a meeting in Egypt.
Introduction and Background of the Book
Titled GETI 2025: Voices and Visions of Transformative Unity and edited by Prof. Dr. Ani Ghazaryan Drissi and Rev. Prof. Teddy Chalwe Sakupapa, the book was launched within the scope of the WCC's fourth GETI program held in Wadi El Natrun, Egypt.
Goals of Ecumenical Dialogue
Emphasizing that the fruits of ecumenical dialogue must take root in the life of the churches, co-editor Ghazaryan drew attention to the bold message carried by this work.
Global and Contextual Issues
In addition to theological reflections, the work addresses issues such as colonial wounds, trauma, migration, ethnic violence, Palestine, digital ecumenism, and the ecological crisis from a global perspective.
The Role of Young Leaders
Rev. Dr. Nathan Digby, GETI 2025 facilitator and EEF commissioner, stated that young ecumenists contribute to the present and future of the movement.
