Despite the release of the Gen Z-led Cockroach Janta Party leaders from detention in India's capital, hundreds of demonstrators continue their protests while security measures and restrictions remain in place.

Release of the Leaders

Abhijeet Dipke, Saurav Das, and Ashutosh Ranka were released by a court on Sunday on the condition that they would not disturb public order for a year.

Speaking after their release, the leaders emphasized that the right to peaceful protest is a constitutional right and that they will continue their struggle.

Reasons for the Protests

CJP, an unregistered political movement, is demanding the resignation of the election commissioner over allegations of manipulation in voter lists ahead of the upcoming state elections.

The Election Commission firmly denies the accusations leveled against it.

Security Measures and Restrictions

While thousands of security personnel were deployed in the capital Delhi, roads were closed with barricades, businesses remained shut, and internet services were restricted.

The Supreme Court of India issued an order during a special session on Sunday for the restoration of internet services and the return of transportation to normal.
