The 2026 FIM Flat Track World Championship returns to the Eichenring track in Scheessel, Germany, for round five following a seven-week break. British riders Tim Neave and Ashton Boughen, competing for the VRX Dirt Store Ducati team, hold the overall standings lead with 86 points each ahead of this crucial race.
Tie in the Battle for the Top
Great excitement surrounds the Scheessel round, which marks the exact midpoint of the expanded 10-race championship. In his rookie championship season, Ashton Boughen made a fast start to the season by winning the first two races held in Roden and Terenzano.
Tim Neave, who had a slower start to the campaign, managed to draw level on points with teammate Boughen by taking back-to-back victories in the third and fourth rounds in Teterow and Donji Kraljevec.
Chasing Champions and Other Contenders
Right behind the British duo, 13 points adrift of the leaders, is defending champion and two-time world winner, Czech rider Ervin Krajčovič. Spanish rider Gerard Bailo, the 2022 champion racing for the Zaeta team, continues his chase in fourth place, just one point behind Krajčovič.
Other names set to fight for a podium finish on the 1,000-metre Scheessel track include fifth-placed British rider Jack Bell, Czech driver Ondřej Svědík, and 2024 champion Sammy Halbert, who was undefeated at Scheessel last season. The event will be broadcast live on FIM-MOTO.TV.
