Ukrainian Drone Attacks Hit Critical Facilities in Russia
Following Ukrainian drone strikes targeting a Wildberries warehouse and a Lukoil refinery in Tambov, the Russian administration has tightened infrastructure measures.
Nighttime long-range drone attacks by Ukrainian forces completely destroyed a major Wildberries warehouse in Russia's Tambov region and targeted the Lukoil refinery in Nizhny Novgorod.
Warehouse in Tambov Completely Destroyed
A warehouse belonging to Russia's largest online retailer, Wildberries, located in the Tambov region, was struck by long-range Ukrainian drones and completely burned down. Officials reported that the logistics center was reduced to ashes at the scene and two people were injured.
Lukoil Refinery Targeted
The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced that the Lukoil refinery in Kstovo was also targeted in operations carried out at night. It was stated that a major fire broke out at this critical facility, which has a high annual processing capacity, following the attack.
New Infrastructure Decree from Putin
Following the successive attacks, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree stating that the state can temporarily seize critical infrastructure facilities if private owners fail to take necessary security measures or rebuild the facilities.
Order of Liberty Awarded to Elon Musk
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented Elon Musk with one of Ukraine's highest honors, the Order of Liberty, for his efforts in protecting human life and strengthening ties with the United States.
