Vietnam rises to 43rd place in the Global Innovation Index

The Global Innovation Index 2026 report, published by the World Intellectual Property Organization on September 29, has been released. According to this report, Vietnam managed to secure the 43rd position among 139 countries and economies.
With this result, the country has climbed a total of 16 places on the global innovation map over the past decade.
Prominent Indicators and Leadership
According to the published report, Vietnam is among the global leaders in the ratio of high-tech exports and innovative goods exports.
The country also ranks third in high-tech imports, fifth in the number of smartphone applications, and sixth in labor productivity growth rate.
Future Goals and Strategies
Vietnam, along with China and India, is shown among the top three countries demonstrating innovation performance according to their level of development.
In line with the strategy approved in April 2026, the country aims to be among the top 40 countries by 2030 and the top 30 countries by 2045.
