The World Health Organization has asked Russia to share more details regarding a laboratory worker who died in Siberia. The incident has raised global concerns over suspected pneumonic plague.
The Death and WHO's Request

Quarantine and Contact Tracing
While Russian state television took a distant approach to the issue, the hospital was placed under quarantine. According to the World Health Organization and Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, approximately 200 people who had contact with the deceased worker were placed under observation.
