103rd Anniversary of the Republic Celebrated at Akdeniz University
At Akdeniz University, the "Run for the Republic Akdeniz" race was held and the "About the Republic" exhibition was opened on the occasion of the 103rd anniversary of October 29 Republic Day.
Within the scope of the 103rd anniversary celebrations of October 29 Republic Day at Akdeniz University, the "Run for the Republic Akdeniz - October 29 Republic Run" was organized, and the opening of the "About the Republic" exhibition took place at the Fine Arts Faculty Fikret Otyam Exhibition Hall.
Organized in cooperation with Akdeniz University Faculty of Sport Sciences and Antalya Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports, the "Run for the Republic Akdeniz" race started in front of the Rectorate building. At the end of the event, medals were presented to those who ranked. Rector Prof. Dr. Özlenen Özkan and accompanying protocol members followed the walking route carrying Turkish flags and posters of Atatürk.
Within the framework of the celebrations, the "About the Republic" exhibition was opened at the Fine Arts Faculty Fikret Otyam Exhibition Hall. In her opening speech, Rector Prof. Dr. Özlenen Özkan drew attention to the importance given to art in the early years of the Republic and emphasized the need for young artists. Fine Arts Faculty Dean Prof. Dr. Semih Büyükkol stated that protecting Atatürk's legacy is a responsibility. The exhibition can be visited until November 27.
