An airstrike by the Saudi-led coalition forces on a crowded market in the al-Hazm district of al-Jawf province in northern Yemen left 14 people dead and 15 others injured.
Among those killed in the airstrikes, which struck the central market near a gas station in the city of al-Hazm during peak shopping hours, were three children and two women, according to Anis al-Asbahi, spokesperson for the Houthi-aligned Ministry of Health.
On the same day, the Ministry of Transport of the internationally recognized government announced that the Houthis had launched two ballistic missile attacks on Aden Airport. A video shared by the ministry showed craters on the runway caused by explosions, and it was reported that Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree had previously called on civilians to evacuate the airport.
Meanwhile, Yemeni officials called for international support to protect civilians and open roads in the city of Taiz, which is under Houthi siege. Taiz Governor Nabil Shamsan stated that residents have lost access to approximately 3 million liters of water supplied from wells in Wadi al-Dhubab, which has come under Houthi control.
