1.5 million lira sports equipment support for 51 schools in Bayraklı

Bayraklı Municipality, in cooperation with the District Directorate of National Education, provided a total of 1 million 500 thousand TL worth of sports equipment support to develop sports activities in 51 schools in the district. Within the scope of the assistance announced with a program held at the Mustafa Kemal Atatürk Sports Hall, various balls and training equipment will be delivered to the schools.

Bayraklı Municipality carried out a joint work with the District Directorate of National Education within the scope of sports investments and efforts to develop sports activities in the district. In line with the requests collected through the directorate, it was decided to provide sports equipment assistance to a total of 51 schools, consisting of 26 primary schools, 16 middle schools, and 9 high schools. Within this context, a program was organized at the Mustafa Kemal Atatürk Sports Hall, attended by Bayraklı Mayor İrfan Önal, Bayraklı District Director of National Education Mehmet Tahir Büdün, and branch managers. During the program, District Director of National Education Büdün expressed his gratitude to Mayor Önal for the contributions provided.

The support package with a total budget of 1 million 500 thousand TL includes basketballs, volleyballs, and footballs, as well as training markers, training cones, coordination rings, coordination ladders, and ball carrying nets. The delivery of the determined materials to the schools will be carried out through personal delivery methods to the schools by the teams of the Bayraklı Municipality Youth and Sports Services Directorate.

Bayraklı Mayor İrfan Önal emphasized that sports play a critical role in children's and youths' physical development as well as helping them gain discipline, solidarity, self-confidence, and team spirit. Stating that they aim for children to establish a closer contact with sports and lead an active and healthy life with this support implemented in line with the requests coming from schools, Önal expressed that they will continue to work to make sports a strong part of the youth's lives in the district.
