15,000 Rental Social Housing Project by TOKİ Begins in Istanbul
The process is becoming clear for the 15,000 rental social housing project to be implemented in Istanbul for low-income and disabled citizens.
It has been announced that applications will begin on September 14 for the 15,000 rental social housing project to be implemented by TOKİ in Istanbul for low-income, disabled, and newly married citizens. The process is progressing rapidly for the residences in the first phase of the project.
Scope and Objective of the Project
Within the scope of the Medium-Term Program, an increase in social housing investments has been achieved to facilitate access to housing for low-income and newly married citizens. The rental social housing model to be launched in Istanbul is planned to be extended to all 81 provinces throughout Turkey in the later stages.
Application Dates and Process
The application schedule for the 15,000 rental housing project to be carried out by TOKİ in Istanbul has become clear. Accordingly, applications will start on September 14, and the first drawing of lots and key handover processes will be carried out within October.
First Phase and Housing Distribution
In the first phase of the project, a total of 1,071 residences will be rented for a period of 3 years, and at the end of this period, the beneficiaries will be determined again through a drawing of lots. The residences planned across Istanbul are located in the districts of Ataşehir, Sancaktepe, Ümraniye, Üsküdar, Maltepe, Tuzla, Kartal, Başakşehir, Gaziosmanpaşa, Beyoğlu, Güngören, and Arnavutköy.
What Are the Application Requirements
Individuals applying for the rental social housing project are required to be married Turkish citizens who have completed the age of 18. Additionally, the conditions include a total household monthly income of less than 100,000 liras, having resided in Istanbul for at least 1 year, and not having a registered residence in the title deed.
Rental Prices and Types
Initial rental prices, determined below the regional market rate, vary according to housing types. Accordingly, 1+1 apartments will be rented starting from 10,000 TL, 2+1 apartments from 12,000 TL, 3+1 apartments from 15,000 TL, and 4+1 apartments starting from 18,000 TL.
