In line with the October Domestic Producer Price Index (D-PPI) data announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute, the revaluation rate effective for 2027 has been determined as 27.83%.
The Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat) shared the Domestic Producer Price Index (D-PPI) data for October with the public. Accordingly, the revaluation rate to be applied for 2027 was calculated as 27.83%. While this rate is expected to increase various taxes, fees, and penalty amounts—most notably the Motor Vehicle Tax (MTV)—in the new period, vehicle inspection fees and property taxes were also among the items affected by this situation.
As a result of the October D-PPI data announced by the Turkish Statistical Institute, the 2027 revaluation rate was finalized at 27.83%. Last year, the revaluation rate was calculated as 25.49%, and the increase in taxes and fees was applied at the level of 18.95%. With the new rate, the increases to be experienced in MTV, fees, penalties, vehicle inspection fees, and property tax have also become clear.
For automobiles registered before and after January 1, 2018, the 2027 MTV amounts have been reshaped according to engine displacement, vehicle age, and tax value. For vehicles registered before 2018, the amount ranges from 7,350 TL for 0-1300 cc up to 35,665 TL for vehicles between 1801-2000 cc. For vehicles registered after 2018, tax amounts for 0-1300 cc vehicles vary between 7,350 TL and 8,824 TL depending on the tax base brackets.
