3rd International İkiztepe Health Summit and Fair Begins in Samsun
The health summit and medical fair opened its doors in Samsun with the participation of Deputy Minister of Health Okumuş and ASKON President Aydın.

Domestic Production and Technology Goals
Deputy Minister of Health Nurullah Okumuş stated that Turkey aims to be a country that develops its own technology and produces its own goods.
Okumuş emphasized that Samsun has become a city that has proven itself in Turkey and the world regarding surgical instruments.
Ongoing Medical Studies
It was stated that efforts are ongoing for mobile X-ray devices, heart-lung machines, domestic ultrasound, and domestic vaccine production carried out in cooperation with ASELSAN.
Strategic Power and Production Capability
ASKON Chairman Orhan Aydın pointed out that production capability in health technologies is one of the fundamental elements of countries' strategic power.
Aydın noted that Turkey must reach a position where it develops its own products in medical devices, medical technology, and biotechnology.

Samsun Governor Orhan Tavlı drew attention to the city's strong health infrastructure at the event.
