4 distinct formulas on the table for the January 2027 retiree raise

For the salary raises that millions of SSK, Bağ-Kur, and Emekli Sandığı retirees will receive in January 2027, 4 different formulas—namely a flat-rate raise, additional welfare share, base pension adjustment, and holistic improvement—have been put on the table in Ankara corridors.

While efforts continue to increase the lowest retiree pension, which stood at 23,552 TL as of July 2026, it was stated in the TBMM Plan and Budget Committee presentations that room has been created in the budget for an increase above the inflation rate. In line with the improvement signal given by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the statements of Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, it was expressed that technical studies are being carried out on alternatives that will cover all retirees.
