4th European Cinema Days Begin in Diyarbakır

The 4th European Cinema Days, realized in cooperation with the Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality, the Diyarbakır Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and EU Information Centers, opened its doors to cinema lovers with an opening program held at the Çand Amed Culture and Congress Center.

Representatives of non-governmental organizations, artists, and numerous cinema enthusiasts attended the opening of the event, which is hosted by Sinebîr, affiliated with the Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Department of Culture and Art. Speaking at the opening, Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality Deputy Secretary General Muhabbet Erdoğmuş emphasized that they aim to transform cinema into a right accessible to the public. Diyarbakır Chamber of Commerce and Industry Assembly President Şeyda Aslantaş expressed their happiness in contributing to the city's cultural heritage.

Films from 16 different countries will be screened as part of the event, which will continue until October 25. Immediately following the opening program, the Spanish production "Son Işıltılar" (Last Shimmers) and the Belgian production "Kaybetmeye Mahkum" (Doomed to Lose) were presented to the audience.
