Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz announced that non-agricultural real sector supports in the 2027 budget have reached 658 billion liras.
Speaking at an informational meeting held before the submission of the 2027 budget to the Turkish Grand National Assembly (TBMM), Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz announced that 658 billion TL of resources has been allocated for non-agricultural real sector supports.
Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz shared the details of the 2027 budget at a meeting attended by Minister of Treasury and Finance Mehmet Şimşek and Head of Strategy and Budget İbrahim Şenel. It was stated that the non-agricultural real sector support amount, which was 493 billion TL in the initial budget of the previous year, has been increased to 658 billion liras in the new period. According to the disclosed distribution, 351 billion liras of this resource was allocated to SSI employer premium support, 92 billion liras to Halkbank artisan interest subsidy, 73 billion liras to Ministry of Industry and Technology incentive programs, 65 billion liras to export supports, and 78 billion liras to other items.
Yılmaz also shared figures regarding social housing investments and social expenditures. While the amount allocated to resilient cities expenditures and social housing investments was increased by 150 percent to 250 billion TL, the total social expenditure resource—including various items such as health premiums, elderly and disabled care services, and birth assistance—was determined as 1 trillion 341 billion liras. For public investments, an increase was projected from the 2.07 trillion TL level in 2026 to 2 trillion 849 billion liras.
Touching upon the 2026 budget developments, Yılmaz stated that as a result of revenues increasing at a higher rate than expenditures, the ratio of the budget deficit to gross domestic product was revised to 3.1 percent, recording a 0.4 percentage point drop compared to initial projections.
