85 World Leaders Confirm Attendance at COP31 Summit in Antalya

While preparations continue for the COP31 summit to be hosted by Turkey in Antalya from November 9 to 20, Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum announced that heads of state and government from 85 countries have confirmed their participation.

Preparations continue for the COP31 summit, which will be hosted by Turkey in Antalya between November 9 and 20. Speaking at the COP31 Media Meeting, COP31 President and Minister of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change Murat Kurum stated that direct contact was established with more than 50 countries and announced that heads of state and government from 85 countries have confirmed their participation in the summit.

It was also shared at the meeting that approximately 3,000 journalists have been accredited for the summit in Antalya. Within the scope of the summit, it was reported that a 527,000-square-meter Blue Zone and a 582,000-square-meter Green Zone have been prepared in the 1.1 million-square-meter area where Expo was held in 2016.
