A new hospital will be built on the vacant land of Kayseri State Hospital, whose demolition was carried out three years ago and whose blocks and tube-passage tunnel were removed in Kayseri. The good news on the matter was given by AK Party Kayseri Provincial Chairman Hüseyin Okandan, speaking at the Opening of the Asım-Türkan Balcı Family Health Center. Okandan announced that discussions with the Ministry of Health were held this week and a hospital will be built again in place of the demolished buildings.
Last year, AK Party Kayseri deputies and Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Memduh Büyükkılıç had met with Minister of Health Kemal Memişoğlu to make a request. While the possibility of building a 500-bed hospital in place of the demolished blocks is on the agenda, it is stated that this planned work is aimed at reducing the congestion at Kayseri City Hospital.
