Access block decision for Cafer Mahiroğlu's social media account
Within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, a decision was made to block access to the personal social media account of Halk TV owner Cafer Mahiroğlu.
It was reported that within the scope of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, an access ban decision was taken against the personal social media account of Halk TV owner Cafer Mahiroğlu on the grounds that he made provocative calls to the public.
In line with the investigation carried out by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, an access restriction decision was issued regarding the social media account of Halk TV owner Cafer Mahiroğlu. It was stated that the decision was requested within the scope of the crimes of incitement and publicly spreading misleading information to the public through Mahiroğlu's posts.
The investigation file included allegations that Mahiroğlu circulated progress payment amounts through a front company alleged to have been set up as a subcontractor in tenders and used Halk TV as a shield. An arrest warrant had previously been issued for Mahiroğlu, who was stated to be abroad. On the other hand, it was recorded that a trustee was appointed to Halk TV on October 14, 2026, transferring management to the Savings Deposit Insurance Fund (TMSF), and that an access restriction had previously been imposed on the channel's corporate social media accounts.
