Afrin-born Feyruz Reshid's AI project 'Mamoste Mîmî' teaches Kurdish to children
Feyruz Reshid, an Afrin native living in Vienna, is teaching Kurdish to children through the 'Mamoste Mîmî' character developed using artificial intelligence technology. The project, which reached millions of views on social media in a short time, appeals to a wide audience with its digital educational materials.
Feyruz Reshid, originally from Afrin, provides Kurdish language education to children through a digital character named 'Mamoste Mîmî' designed using artificial intelligence. The videos, prepared in Vienna, the capital of Austria, and shared on Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok platforms, reached millions of views in a short time.
Feyruz Reshid, a graduate of Aleppo University who has been living in Austria since 2020, explains the starting point of the project as noticing that his audience for social media content consisted of adults. To meet the need for education aimed at children, Reshid converted a room in his house into a studio and produces daily content with his AI-supported character.
While the first video of the project reached 4 million views, the number of followers on Instagram exceeded 85,000 within a week. Covering the costs of AI programs with his own means, Reshid states that he is seeking support for the sustainability of the project.
