The widespread adoption of artificial intelligence in India's technology sector has brought about a fundamental change in recruitment processes. Industry giants such as Tata Consultancy Services and Infosys are opting to limit fresh graduate hiring as AI takes over routine programming tasks.

According to Zinnov's 2026 research, 60% of businesses prefer experienced professionals over fresh graduates. Despite a projected employment figure of 5.95 million in the IT sector by 2026, companies are now prioritizing candidates who can solve real-world problems and possess a deep technical foundation.

Experts warn that this trend could create a mid-level management gap in the future. It is noted that to overcome this risk, companies need to invest more in internal training programs and mentorship processes.

This transformation process in India is being evaluated as a model for Vietnam. It is recommended that educational curricula be updated with fields such as artificial intelligence, data science, and cybersecurity, that universities establish closer cooperation with the business world, and that students' practical project experiences be increased.
