Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines Launch Flights to Osaka and Papeete from Seattle
Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines have announced new year-round nonstop flights from Seattle to Osaka and Papeete.
Expanding their global networks, Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines have announced they will launch new nonstop flight services between Seattle-Tacoma International Airport and Osaka, Japan, as well as Papeete in French Polynesia.
As part of their mission to connect the Pacific Northwest with more destinations worldwide, Alaska Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines have added the Osaka and Papeete routes to their global network. These new routes mark the eighth and ninth intercontinental long-haul routes offered by the companies from Seattle. The combined airline will provide the only nonstop service between Seattle and both Osaka and Papeete, with flights operated by Hawaiian Airlines starting next spring.
Flights will be operated using Hawaiian Airlines' Airbus A330 fleet, offering passengers Hawaiian hospitality and privileges such as complimentary Starlink Wi-Fi for Atmos Rewards members in partnership with T-Mobile. Osaka flights will operate four times weekly starting May 14, 2027, while Papeete flights will run three times weekly beginning June 11, 2027. Tickets for the new routes are now on sale, and all flights are subject to government approval.
