In a trial held in New York, 39-year-old twins Oren and Alon Alexander and 40-year-old Tal Alexander received 30-year prison sentences for sexual abuse and sex trafficking. US District Judge Valerie Caproni described the brothers' actions as "monstrous" and ruled that they should not serve their sentences in the same prison.

The prosecution stated that the Alexander brothers used their social status and their family's influence in the luxury real estate business to target more than 70 women and girls for at least 14 years. During the hearing concerning the attacks that took place in areas such as Miami, New York, the Hamptons, and Aspen, a dozen victims recounted what they experienced in court.

Regarding the duration of the trial process, sources differ, with some reports pointing to a five-week trial period and others to six weeks. While prosecutors requested life imprisonment for the defendants, the defense had asked for the application of the 15-year mandatory minimum. Defense attorneys argued that the sexual encounters were consensual.

Assessment: Allegations regarding the background of the incident also include information that in January 2017, three young girls were drugged at a nightclub in Aspen, taken to a five-star hotel, and assaulted. New York Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch made a statement regarding the matter following the verdict.
