Amazon announced a new investment package of over 16 billion euros to be completed by 2027 at the Invest in Germany Summit held in Berlin. With this investment, the company aims to expand its data centers, strengthen its artificial intelligence infrastructure, modernize its logistics network, and support Amazon Leo, its satellite internet project.

A portion of 4.8 billion euros of the investment has been allocated to the development of Amazon Web Services' (AWS) cloud and artificial intelligence infrastructure in the Frankfurt region. Additionally, a second R&D laboratory focused on robotics and artificial intelligence is planned to be established in Berlin. Within the scope of the satellite internet access project, an agreement has been reached with Arianespace for 24 rocket launches.

German Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy Katherina Reiche described this investment as a sign of confidence in Germany's future. David Zapolsky, Amazon's Senior Vice President of Global Public Policy and General Counsel, stated that their goal is to provide the necessary infrastructure for local companies and creative sector workers to compete in the global market.
