Apple is introducing a new AI assistant, developed with Apple and OpenAI models, for its productivity apps: Pages, Keynote, and Numbers. Starting as a beta on Apple Intelligence-compatible devices, this feature will also allow the integration of third-party AI agents into the apps via Model Context Protocol support in macOS 27 and later versions.

The new AI assistant can manage slide design and animation processes in Keynote, while taking on text drafting and content editing tasks in Pages. In Numbers, it can perform operations such as data visualization, table creation, and chart suggestions.

In addition to productivity apps, Apple is also updating its creative software. The 'Generate Fill' feature added to Pixelmator Pro allows users to edit specific areas of an image by defining them. Logic Pro is being updated with a 'Liquid Glass' design and an AI assistant capable of preparing audio channels with a single command.

The update to be released for Final Cut Pro provides direct integration of templates, graphics, and titles into the app via MotionVFX. Additionally, the Content Hub feature, which includes stock content, is being added to the system. All these updates will be available for free to existing subscribers within November.
