Apple announced that it is expanding its US supplier network and investments for the iPhone Duo and iPhone 18 Pro models by signing new agreements with Pennsylvania-based Perryman Company and Delaware-based Qnity Electronics under its American Manufacturing Program (AMP).

In a statement from Apple, it was reported that new agreements have been signed to partner with Pennsylvania-based titanium producer Perryman Company and to expand its partnership with Delaware-based Qnity Electronics under the "American Manufacturing Program (AMP)." The statement indicated that Apple will work with Perryman for the titanium casing to be used in the company's first foldable iPhone model, the iPhone Duo, and noted that Apple has committed to investing up to $100 million in this company over three years. The statement also noted that Perryman will use at least 80 percent recycled content in the materials it produces for the iPhone Duo.

The statement mentioned that Apple will also expand its partnership with Qnity Electronics for the new variable aperture technology used in the iPhone 18 Pro's camera system, stating that this company will produce advanced films in the US, which are key components of the 48-megapixel Fusion main camera. The statement emphasized that the variable aperture system will help the device automatically adjust the light entering the camera based on lighting conditions, allowing for more light in low-light situations and sharper details in bright environments.

The statement highlighted that approximately 100 components used in the iPhone Duo and iPhone 18 Pro are produced by US companies operating in more than a dozen states, noting that partnerships are maintained with companies such as Broadcom, Corning, Coherent, TSMC, and Amkor Technology. It was reported that the goal is for all glass for iPhone and Apple Watch models sold worldwide to be produced at the Corning facility in Kentucky by the end of the year, and that the TSMC factory in Arizona is expected to produce more than 100 million chips for Apple in 2026.

The statement emphasized that Apple works with suppliers in all US states and supports the employment of more than 450,000 Americans, reporting that it continues its efforts as part of a four-year, $600 billion investment commitment aimed at bringing advanced manufacturing and critical component production to the US.
