The exhibition titled “What I Saw… What I Thought… What I Drew…”, consisting of sketch and watercolor works created by architect Sinan Kafadar over the last 10 years, opened its doors at Goba Art & Design in Beyoğlu on October 17. The proceeds from the exhibition, which will run until November 5, will be transferred to ITU Faculty of Architecture students.

Compiled from sketchbooks and watercolor works kept by architect Sinan Kafadar over the years, the exhibition brings together his personal visual archive of the last 10 years, ranging from Istanbul to world cities, historical buildings to archaeological sites, boats to cliffs and objects. Featuring approximately 120 works, the exhibition is presented under eight headings: historical buildings from Istanbul, Turkey, and the world; archaeological sites; boats and maritime; cliffs and islands; trees and plants; various objects; and dreams. The proceeds from the sale of the works will be used for a sketch and watercolor competition to be held at Istanbul Technical University Faculty of Architecture, from which Kafadar graduated, to fund a sketching tour for the top three ranking students.
