Paris Saint-Germain faced Barcelona in the third matchday of the Champions League, the most important organization of European club football. In addition to the match at the Parc des Princes Stadium, which ended in a 4-2 victory for the home team, the choreography featuring violent elements displayed in the stands created a stir.

According to information reported by Mundo Deportivo, the Barcelona management has decided to report the banner in the stands prior to the match, which included the phrase "Paris massacre" in French, to UEFA. In the giant choreography unveiled behind the goal prior to the match, a character holding a chainsaw was seen tearing apart the Barcelona crest. It was also noted that the banner made a reference to the 1974 film The Texas Chain Saw Massacre.

While the critical match ended in a 4-2 victory for PSG, the goals for the home team were scored by Desire Doue, Lucas Hernandez, Vitinha, and Fabian Ruiz. Barcelona's goals came from Xavi Espart and Lamine Yamal. The match was watched from the protocol tribune by PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi and Barcelona President Joan Laporta. It was reported that the Barcelona club also requested the removal of banners containing insults directed at them displayed throughout the match.
