Bernd Storck: The simple goals we conceded from set-pieces did not suit us

Gençlerbirliği head coach Bernd Storck evaluated the defeat in his post-match statement after his team lost 2-0 away to Konyaspor in the 9th week of the Trendyol Super League.

Stating that they had a difficult match against a strong opponent, Storck expressed that the injuries sustained in the first half negatively affected the team's organization. Emphasizing that despite showing a resilient performance in defense and midfield, they remained ineffective in the attacking line, the coach noted that the pressure applied by Konyaspor prevented them from building their game.

Pointing to set-pieces as the turning point of the match, Storck commented, "Conceding two goals from two corners, from two set-pieces, did not suit us. We made mistakes in marking within the penalty area. These simple goals did not suit our team." Storck also added that their goalkeeper made successful saves during the opponent's positions outside of set-pieces.
